NEW This event is the 3rd in our Virtual Run Adventure series. The course starts at the Golden Gate Bridge at the entry to the San Francisco Bay, crosses the City, the Bay and the rest of California, and finishes in the Black Rock Desert in Nevada not far from Reno.

Yes, the Black Rock Desert is where the Burning Man Festival occurs. It originated in … San Francisco very close to the Golden Gate. In 1990 Burning Man moved to the Black Rock Desert. Some Bay Area Burners may follow the exact route of this virtual event.

For the Bay To Black Rock there are two separate versions for you to choose from. One is the Run/Walk Only version for those of who you will be running and/or walking exclusively to log miles. The other version is the Multi Activity version which includes running, walking and dozens of other activities.

You can complete this 355 mile challenge solo, or as part of a team (max of 8 members) if you want to get your family, friends, co-workers or whomever to join in the fun.

Track your progress on the electronic course map and see how far you get, or for some of you how many times you complete the route.

This event will provide you with 17 days of motivation, of entertainment, and of the opportunity to interact and engage with others, while also giving back to the community.

And there will be a contest along the way where you could win great prizes.

Enjoy your virtual experience from the Bay to the Black Rock! #virtualbay2blackrock
