The RTO is an overnight relay from Reno to Lake Tahoe and back to Reno making a large 178-mile loop around the Reno-Tahoe region. Teams start on Friday, run throughout the night and finish the next day. The field is capped at 2,600 runners. The race typically sells out. Reno Running Co. Races makes a donation to Tahoe-Pyramid Trail and other non-profit groups who help with the event.
