Back this year are hand thrown mugs by Dale Pappas (Lt Colonel retired) USMC 32 years. He was with the WCSO for 21 years, and one day he saw smoke through the trees around the homes. Dale thought a gas main had broken and called all the emergency services, but it was a potter firing a kiln. He sent everyone home and began taking pottery classes; the rest is history. Peavine Pottery opened in 1998, and to this day, Dale is either in the pottery studio making high-fired stoneware, in the wood shop, playing handball, or skiing/camping with the grandkids.
Time Limits
We need to be finished with the City of Reno streets by 9:40 am. For a 5K course that will give everyone even the most casual walkers plenty of time. We reserve the right to ask participants to use the sidewalks if necessary.
Strollers
Strollers are allowed for this event. Given the narrow start line area, strollers shall start toward the back with the walkers. Look for the Strollers sign. No need to register your child being pushed in the stroller.
Pets
No pets allowed for this event. We appreciate your cooperation.
