Spectating the Race

How and Where to Support Your Runner Safely and Easily

If you have a family member or friend running the race, cheering for them during their run is one of the best ways you can support them. Your shouts of encouragement and enthusiasm keep their spirits high and running strong! You not only motivate them to do their best but also make them feel loved and appreciated during the challenge they’ve taken on.

We invite anyone to come spectate the race and support the runners but ask that you follow these simple rules below. Also, please only spectate at the designated areas we provide; trying to access the course anywhere else will result in compromising runner safety, traffic accidents or trouble with Reno Police Department. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation!

Please note, the 5K event can only be spectated from Greater Nevada Field and John Champion Park.

Spectating Rules

1. Spectate only at the designated spectator areas
   *Never stop on an open road to cheer on your runner, Reno Police Department will have zero tolerance for this
2. Do not walk into the racecourse at any time
3. If making signs, do not include any inappropriate language/images (many children run this race)

1. The Starting line at Swift Sportsdome
         *Please be mindful of road closures
2. The Finish line at Greater Nevada Field
         *Park in the surrounding city parking garages or streets
3. Cottonwood Park (mile 8)
4. Glendale Park (mile 9)
5. Rock Park (mile 10)
6. John Champion Park (mile 12)
